Ambassador at Large for the Republic of Burundi Africa, spoke to the student
body of Prairie View A & M University in Prairie View Texas on November
2014.
Prairie View A & M University
is a historical black college in the United States and Ambassador Rivers felt
it was a monumental day and an honor to speak to the student body and the facility
of this prestigious institution. He spoke on human rights and fundamental
freedoms for the people of the world.
Ambassador Rivers was quoted
saying, “It is very important that the young people of the world understand we
have a responsibility to protect the rights and freedoms of every individual
born in the world. The guiding principle that makes human rights work is to
live the Golden Rule, ‘Treat others the way you want to be treated.’”

the elite presidents of an education institution in the world today. Prairie
